These solid beech boards measure approx. 15"x 17.5" including the handle. You can not soak them in water or get them very wet or they will get "fuzzy". If the grain raises, you can sand them smooth. Once you engrave them, you can easily clean with denatured alcohol and then seal with your favorite wood finish.
